Sports and Exercise Nutrition

Do you want to decrease body fat while maximizing your training? Having trouble putting on or keeping lean muscle mass? Are you a vegetarian athlete that wants to make sure that your diet is balanced and not holding you back? Are you chronically fatigued or sense that your endurance performance is deteriorating? Unsure of which foods to eat and how much you need to eat before, during, and after training or competition?

All athletes and fitness enthusiasts are searching for that competitive edge in their sport or workout. Proper nutrition can be that edge! The more active you are, the more food choices affect energy levels, body composition and performance.  Let our Sports Nutrition Consultants show you what foods are the best for your health and optimal performance in your sport!

Programs We Offer

Comprehensive Nutritional Analysis w/Meal Planning

Confused about day-to-day choices for optimum nutritional performance? Let our Nutrition Consultant create specific meal plans for you. These plans will ensure that you are getting appropriate carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamin, fluid, and calorie intake.  This is based on your age, weight, height, gender, and activity level. The meal plans will be your guide for making the proper meal and snack choices. It will also include ideas for pre-workout, and post workout eating based on your daily activities or training program.

***This is a great idea for those athletes on annual training programs or who are year round or multiple sport athletes.  This meal planning can be done a few times a year to ensure that your needs are being met with every training program and/or sport.***

In addition you will receive seven days of meal plans, grocery shopping list, exchange food list, and have one month of nutrition email follow-ups with a staff member who specializes in nutrition.


Basic Nutritional Analysis

Improve your diet by finding out if you are eating a balanced diet of carbohydrates, proteins and fats.  Are you currently consuming what you need to obtain your optimal fitness and health requirements? We will have you record your food and fluid intake for 7 days, log your daily routine, training/exercise sessions.  We will also be weighing you and measuring your body fat using Lange™ calipers. Your food and exercise log will be analyzed using one of the best software programs available. Your nutrition summary will provide a list of individualized nutrition recommendations based on your diet, life style, and performance goals. It will also include a list of any nutrient deficiencies. In addition you will receive three days of meal plans and receive five nutrition email follow-ups with a staff member who specializes in nutrition and sports nutrition.


Individual Daily Meal Consulting

These consulting sessions are in-person follow-up to the comprehensive and basic nutrition analysis and meal plan.  The goal is to provide on-going expert advice as needed.


Nutrition E-Mail Session

When you have questions about sports nutrition, supplements, or foods that you see in the grocery store? Our nutrition consultants will answer those questions for you and help get you on track with the proper food choices for your nutritional needs. E-mail nutrition guidance is also an inexpensive, and convenient way to maintain a healthy lifestyle while optimizing your training program. We are only a click away from helping you achieve your performance goals. These e-mail sessions are provided as a follow-up to the nutritional analysis, the comprehensive nutrition assessment and meal plan, to provide on-going expert advice as needed.


Sports Nutrition Workshops

Food is fuel for the body, use the wrong type or not enough and your body will not run well. This workshop will educate you on how to use the proper sports nutrition for optimal health and performance, so that you properly refuel your body, and achieve your health and performance goals.

*Athletes will learn the best foods for Pre and Post game meals.
*Athletes will learn proper fluid consumption for competition.
*Athletes will learn proper in-season meal planning.

Basic Nutritional Analysis: $150
Individual Daily Meal Consulting: $45.00 per session (45 minutes)
Nutrition E-Mail Session: $22.50 per session; $65.00 month (15 emails)
Sports Nutrition Workshops: $30/person; Minimum 12 athletes
