Sports Enhancement

A sport-specific strength and conditioning program is initiated after a specialized evaluation. Each athlete has particular strengths and weaknesses that are unique to that individual. Often chronic injuries that require treatment are a result of a mechanical breakdown in the body. Compensatory movements prove very detrimental to an athlete's performance and lead to chronic musculo-skeletal injuries.

Athletes have different needs than the average person and are often capable of achieving higher levels of function.  Athletes need to be challenged differently to fully work all muscles required for their sport.

Some techniques that are used at Cedarburg Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine are:

What We Offer

Sport/Activity Specific Injury Prevention

Stay in the game! Don’t allow injuries to keep you on the sidelines. The harder you play, the faster your body will breakdown. Learn how to incorporate prevention training and Prehab into your strengthening, conditioning, and practice schedule. Prevent ACL, ankle, and shoulder injuries.

Sport Specific Core Training

Our bodies perform in 3-dimensions so make sure to train your core so that it works in 3-dimensions. Don’t waste time with crunches that work in 1-demension. Your core is more that a six pack. Learn to strengthen your lower back, glutes, hips, and abs. Core Training is great for anyone that desires a physically fit and toned body.

Runners Cross Training for Conditioning

Take care of your body, so it can take care of you. Don’t run through knee and shin pain.Treat your injuries with activity that will allowyou to heal as you stay active. Keep your endorphin high during the winter, and don’t bore yourself on the treadmill. Crosstrain for better health!

Overhead Throwing Training & Shoulder Conditioning

Train your arm so that you can pitch a complete game, or throw a runner out at home plate. Learn how to properly condition your arm and work on your throwing mechanics in the preseason so that you are ready for Game Time!

Individual:
1 Session: $45
6 Sessions: $240 ($40/session)
12+ Sessions: $420 ($35/session)

Small Groups (2-7 Athletes):
1 Session: $35 per athlete
6 Sessions: $180 per athlete

Teams (8-12 Athletes):
6 Sessions: $1260 Total

Large Teams (13-18 Athletes):
6 Sessions: $2340 Total

Free Weekend Warrior Injury Assessments are available. Please call to make an appointment before your injury becomes a serious problem!
